Scotland: Day 4

Playing Mormon Bridge on the Train
View of Scotland from the Train
Oh hey, Harry!

The last and final day in Scotland flew by in a hurry. We woke up and went to the National Gallery of Scotland and saw some beautiful Degas and Seurat paintings and Caitlin discovered that she loves Renoir. After the National Gallery we walked around Edinburgh and visited the GrassMarket area, full of interesting shops and people. We then made our way to the birthplace of Harry Potter, the Elephant House, on King George IV bridge. The Elephant House is where JK Rowling wrote down parts of the Harry Potter story on napkins. It was so fun to see the place where all the magic started. Sadly, our last day in Scotland came to an end quite early. We boarded the train and headed home for the center. The train ride home was such a blast. We played a myriad of card games including, mormon bridge, hearts, speed, and idiot and had plenty of time for girl talk. I enjoyed so much the bagpipe melodies heard constantly around Edinburgh and the cheerful accents of the Scottish people. As much as I hated staying in a hostel, Scotland was worth it.
